North Carolina REALTOR Leaders Ready to ‘Change the Discourse’

by Peter L. Mosca on February 20, 2013 at 1:23 pm
Posted In: Communications Training, REALTOR Happenings

After attending my Spokesperson Training workshop, Local Presidents, President-Elects and MLS Presidents from across North Carolina are now better prepared to be The Voice for Real Estate(TM), helping bring positive discourse about real estate, the REALTOR(R) association and the industry to key internal and external audiences. 80% of the attendees rated the workshop “Excellent” (others chose “Good”) and had the following to say thereafter: “The most important aspect of the workshop was the presenter’s knowledge and the tons of applicable information he shared,” Being a leader of the largest trade association in my city, I need to make sure I am prepared to represent the association in any situation,” and “The entire workshop was useful, especially the group participation.” Sounds biased, but if we are going to be relevant today and into the future, we need to consistent, clear and concise communications. I’m passionate about REALTORS, real estate and consumers who sell, buy and invest in the number #1 asset in America. Let me show your leaders how to best spread the word, and truly be The Voice for Real Estate(TM).

This just in… e-Local’s “Most Insightful” Award–Be Proactive on Climate Change

by Peter L. Mosca on January 30, 2013 at 12:41 pm

“As Americans, we can no longer sustain our way of life by being reactive rather than proactive to climate change and natural disasters. The costs to our financial, environmental and overall health and well-being are not sustainable.” This excerpt is from my “Most Insightful” award blog post to e-Local.com’s question asking to reveal what we think will be some of the biggest Home Improvement Trends for 2013. Here’s how I started my post: “I’m hopeful that in 2013 the trend will be for the infrastructures we design, build and or re-build endure the unforeseen challenges nature will deliver in the future. After being blessed not to have suffered like others ravaged by Sandy on the Jersey shore, the time was yesterday that local, state and national governments, in conjunction with the real estate, building/architecture and remodeler industries, to name a few, mandate into the approval/permitting process climate change adaption and hazard mitigation…”

“All REALTOR Leaders should take this class”

by Peter L. Mosca on December 1, 2012 at 2:10 pm
Posted In: Communications Training, Real Estate Market, REALTOR Happenings

(“All REALTOR Leaders should take this class.”) That’s what one REALTOR leader said about my “Strategies for Communications Significance“ workshop in Orlando. A recurring theme from my students, and I’m slightly biased, but I agree. ALL REALTOR leaders should take this class. Changing the discourse about real estate, the REALTOR Association and the industry as a whole should be a primary concern if we are going to remain relevant to real estate consumers and other key external (and internal) audiences. Here’s a sample of other thoughts from REALTOR leaders in Orlando:

“The best workshop ever, and I have been to hundreds.”

Peter is very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and I learned many good pointers.”

“I learned so many things that I will use as President. Thank you Peter.”

Communicate to Engage, Motivate and Influence in 2013! Book my “Strategies for Communications Significance” workshop.
